Wishes for 2019 | For Life and Travel

Happy new year! As blogging tradition goes, every new year I write up my plans and wishes for the year ahead. 2019 will be a big one mostly because of two big events: getting married and renewing our spouse visa (yay….). We have a few personal goals along the way too and I’m excited for the opportunities it may bring! Here’s to an interesting 2019!

Goals and wishes for 2019

  • Get married!
  • Renew my spouse visa.
  • Do a Sprint Triathlon.
  • Run a 10k.
  • Blog at least twice a month.
  • Read 40 books.

Travel plans and wishes for 2019

Scotland >> We’re doing a wee road trip with my parents and brother when they come to Scotland in May. Hoping to take them up the east coast, through Speyside, across to Skye, down the west coast, through Glenfinnan and Oban. Also visiting Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh and St Andrews.

London >> We’re off to the Harry Potter play in February, so a wee trip to London is on the horizon.

Halifax >> On our way to Montreal in June we’ll stop over in Halifax for a day to visit this eastern city. I want to visit a few museums and stuff myself with lobster.

Montreal >> We’re doing a second wedding reception in Montreal, also celebrating my 30th birthday. Can’t wait to spend a week or two at home enjoying the summer.

Mini-moon >> We’re not gonna be able to travel until 2020, so we want to do a mini-moon somewhere a bit warmer in the August/September period, potentially in the south of England. Any recommendations?

Weekend trips >> I don’t have a lot of holiday time to take outside of the big plans above, but I would love to do a few weekend trips, as we used to do and haven’t done much in the last year. In Scotland, maybe in England, maybe Paris. We shall see!

Do you have any big plans for 2019?xx
