Wishes for 2018 | For Travel and Life

image of stockholm - wishes for 2018

I’m starting 2018 in a much nicer place than I did last year. As I’m writing this, I’m sitting in a warm little wooden cabin in Sweden, next to my Brit (now fiancé). Not bad indeed.

Goals, resolutions and wishes for 2018

>> Finish applying for PhDs. Though the real wish here is getting into a PhD programme and starting in the autumn.
>> Get my blog groove back. I’ve accomplished so many of my goals in the last year, however blogging has fallen behind a bit.
>> Launch a monthly newsletter.
>> Actually release one of my Scottish guidebooks.
>> Do a Sprint Triathlon in Scotland.
>> Read 52 books.

Travel plans and wishes for 2018

We already have quite a few trips that have been planned :
>> POLAND
I’m off to Wrocław later this January with a Polish friend.

>> CANADA
The Brit and I will be going home in April, so it’ll be lovely to see friends and family again. We are also debating going to Canada either in the summer or for Christmas.

>> CUBA
We’re all booked to spend a week in Cuba with my parents. It’s been one of my dad’s dreams forever, so happy we’ll be discovering it together.

And these are not planned but may as well add in a few wishes on this wish list, right? :

>> PORTUGAL — We cancelled our trip to Porto last October so I’d love to make that up this year.

>> PARIS — The Brit hasn’t gone to Paris and I want us to go together.

>> INDIA — I’ve been meaning to visit a friend in Delhi!

>> LUXEMBOURG — Perhaps a nice long weekend in this tiny country?

>> SCOTLAND — As always I want to visit more of Scotland. Maybe doing the North Coast 500, go to Arran, and head up to Aberdeen for a visit.

What are your wishes for 2018?xx
