Hi!! Happy Friday!
Can anyone please tell me how we are already halfway through November please? It’s crazy! Months are flying by – especially when you have so much fun! October was an impressive one for us! We attended 2 weddings, and went on 3 trips, which included a week long stay in Italy!
Here are happy moments from October :
– Celebrating my expativersary – we didn’t do anything per se, but it was great to mark the occasion! I can’t believe I’ve lived in Scotland for over two years – it feels like a great milestone! I don’t know how long I’ll be in Scotland for – but I’m wishing for a lot more happy memories in this country!
– We attended the wedding of some friends of us in Kinross-shire. It was in a castle and it was fabulous and we had such a great day out. We danced a lot, ate some of the best wedding food I’ve ever had (the bride is a dietician) and had so much fun! – The next weekend we headed to a second wedding – this time in our old haunt of St Andrews. A girl from my Masters was getting married to her long time boyfriend, whom she met in St Andrews. So they were getting married in the amazing Kinkell Byre, which is where we had so many parties as students. It was impressive to see it during the day! I had literally no idea it was next to a golf course! It was great to meet up again with some old colleagues and friends, dance a lot, eat and get the best favours in the history of wedding favours!
Earlier in October we attended a wedding at our old haunt, Kinkell Byre in St Andrews. It was beautiful, charming and nostalgic. #StAndrews #wedding #StAndreans #fun #KinkellByre #kinkellbyrewedding #StAndrewsAlum #weekendtrip #celebrations #couplephoto #standrewsstatistic A photo posted by Camila (@caminioca) on
– I met the lovely Jordan of Beer Time with Wagner in Edinburgh one day we had some tea and cake at Mimi’s Bakehouse on the Royal Mile. It was such a nice afternoon and we’re meeting up again soon for a blogger meet up I’m organising later this month!
– We also went to Italy!! Another highlight of the month!! We spent a week in Rome, discovering the Colosseum, the Vatican, eating out, trying new flavours of gelato, discovering new pastries and walking a whole lot around the gorgeous city.
We came back to Scotland as we changed the clocks and it’s been dark and rainy ever since, but I’ve been thrilled by the month of October! So many friends, so much beauty, so much fun, so much food!
We finished the month with a lovely Halloween party where we received some friends for dinner and drinks and I made a vegan peanut butter pie which I was so proud of!
For November, as you may have read, I’m focusing on my writing and today as you’re reading this I’m on my way to Wester-Ross shire to a writing retreat. Yay! You’ll definitely hear more about it next month!
What are you goals for November?xx
